The
VIHL is looking for referees and scorekeepers for the 2009 season.
REFEREES
**Must be at least 18 years of age
**Must have some knowledge of hockey
**Must be reliable, have a professional attitude and good communication skills
**Must be at least an intermediate skater and capable of skating backwards
**Prior refereeing experience isn't necessary
**All referees will receive in house training on the BCIHA rules and will become NIHA certified (training course will be held in March)
**The training clinic costs $45 and the VIHL will partially reimburse referees after they have refereed 10 games
**Compensation is based on experience and performance and will range from $18-$32 per game.
SCOREKEEPERS
**Must be at least 15 years of age
**Must have good attention to detail
**Must have some knowledge of hockey
**Ideal for someone who enjoys watching the exciting sport of hockey and wants to make some extra spending money.
**Complete training and support is provided
**Compensation is $12-$14 per game
