THE CAUSE
Recently, there was an unfortunate accident in a local inline hockey game where a player went into the boards and this resulted in a Spinal Cord Injury. His life will change forever and so will the lives of the people around him. There are many obstacles to overcome when this happens, so we did some research and found that a local hero from Vancouver, Mr. Rick Hansen has gone through this life-changing event himself. In an instant, it was easy to decide that the VIHL (Vancouver Inline Hockey League) with the help of VDL (Vancouver Dodgeball League) and ReactiveSports would raise money to support spinal cord research so that we can help those who have been affected.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to support the Rick Hansen Foundation.
THE PRIZE
The winning teams from each tier will be awarded high-end athletic apparel from Firstar Sports!
Please come out and support the cause. We hope to see you there!!
