League Meeting
There will be a league meeting on Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm (until approx 8:30pm) at the upstairs meeting room (beside the bar) at 8 rinks in Burnaby. This is not just a captain's meeting as anyone is welcome to attend. Please try to have at least one representative from your team there. -discuss issues from last season
-make suggestions for this season
-vote on recommended changes for this season (a list to be sent out prior to the meeting)
-look at who has registered for your team so far (a printout of the online database will be brought to the meeting)
-pay league fees
-find out more about the league so that you can decide if you want to play (if you havent registered yet)
-go over rules for this season
-get orders and payments in for revision wheels
-get pucks, bladetape and skate towels (towels are $5 and extra pucks will be available for $8)
-meet players from other teams
Refreshments and some food will be served
**NOTE: The earlybird draw will also occur at the league meeting and someone from your team will have to be there to claim your prize
Deposits
Go to http://www.vihl.net/teams09.php to see if we have received your team deposit. There will be an E or an R beside your team name if we have received your deposit (E means earlybird and R means regular registration). If you haven't already done so, please get your deposits in ASAP as we can no longer guarantee your spot until your deposit is received. Early bird teams will be entered into a draw for some prizes. The draw will occur at the league meeting and someone from your team will have to be there to claim it.
Pointstreak Rosters
The Pointstreak rosters will soon be rolled over from last year. However, they will have not been updated for the current year so please don't use these rosters as a list of who has registered as that will be sent to you seperately on an excel spreadsheet. Pointstreak rosters should be updated towards the end of March once rosters become more solidified.
Schedule requests
Please forward any schedule requests to requests@vihl.net. This should just be days where most of your team wouldnt be able to make it. Otherwise, we will try to make the schedule as even and fair as possible. Please include the following...
1. Your name
2. Team name
3. Tier
4. The actual request that you have
Player ID Photos
If it is more convenient, the league will accept player pictures on CD as it may be easier to just get players together and take pics and put all the pics on a CD at one time...
Pucks
We will be using IDS Proshot Pucks again this year and they will be on hand at the league meeting.
Teams that registered by the earlybird deadline will receive 4 pucks along with their registration; otherwise, you will receive 2 pucks. Additional pucks will be available for $8 each.
They will come in red, orange and pink.
Team Jersey Colours
Please check your teams jersey colour listed on http://www.vihl.net/teams09.php. If no colour is listed or if the colour is wrong, please email us that info so that we can update our records to determine when there may be a jersey conflict.
